Where to Stay in Uluwatu

April 26, 2020

Uluwatu is known as Bali’s surfer’s paradise and is home to the island’s most scenic beaches. People from all over the world come to Uluwatu for its excellent surf, laid-back atmosphere and picturesque beaches.

But, once you step off of the bustling Uluwatu Road you’ll teleport straight to the Greek Islands. Not really, but it sure feels that way when you walk into Despacito Loft & Lounge. The bright and airy restaurant and B&B is designed like Santorini, adding a fun mediterranean spin on the tropical Bali atmosphere.

With just a handful of rooms, Despacito Loft & Lounge is cozy and intimate. The infinity-edge pool, cafe and lofted billiards provide guests with everything they need right on site.

The 2-story rooms are equipped with mini kitchens and dining areas, closets and spacious bathrooms on the bottom floor. The top floor loft includes the air conditioning unit, bed(s) and a TV.

Despacito Loft & Lounge is well-located in Uluwatu, just a short walk to several popular restaurants, surf shops and boutiques. Less than a 5-minute drive away is Drifter surf shop and cafe, the famous Padang Padang beach and the picturesque Suluban beach area.

We enjoyed the convenience of this property and the friendly staff during our stay. It was fun to feel both a Bali vibe and a mediterranean vibe at the same time. For around $25 a night, guests can experience the same, with a complimentary breakfast as well. If you’re interested in this property, please leave me a comment!
